    A GORGEOUS piece of film history...

    This book along with its predecessor, Star Wars Storyboards: The Prequel Trilogy, are NOT TO BE MISSED! An unparalleled look at the development of epic film making on the drawing board prior to filming. I recommend ALL aspiring storyboard artists dive into both of these beautiful volumes to see and understand the process of visual storytelling. For anyone else, this is a fascinating look at how artists help the director visualize the final film frame. My HIGHEST recommendation!!

    Fantastic!!

    Beautiful hardcover. This book has some insightful introductions but the majority of it is just the reproduction of select storyboards for the original trilogy of movies. Worth it just for the Joe Johnston boards. It’s amazing how close the boards got to what we eventually saw in the movies. A great “how to” for creating storyboards (which are different from comics). Highly recommended.

    A great compendium of Star Wars Storyboards

    Great book for artists or fans of the movie artwork process. The only downside is that the majority of the storyboards are from the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Perhaps the Star Wars Storyboards were lost after production or sold to collectors? Other than that it is great to have all of three movies' storyboards in a single volume to read. The book also shows the enormous effect that Joe Johnston & Ralph McQuarrie had on the visual look of all of the films.
