Presenting 30 One Hit Wonders o UK Pop! - a fun compilation of records which provided the only UK chart entry for it's respective performer. This volume concentrates on the UK Charts, between the years 1956-62 and features an eclectic mix of artists and musical genres, from R&B to teen 'rock ballads', from doo wop to novelty items, from twangy instrumentals to death discs. Juxtaposes million-selling, No. 1 hits like Ricky Valance's irresistible cover of "Tell Laura I Love Her", B. Bumble & the Stingers' pounding "Nut Rocker" and Jerry Keller's lightly rockin' "Here Comes Summer", alongside half-forgotten gems like Hank Levine's haunting "Image", Chet Atkins' infectious "Teensville" and the Blackwells' classy "Love Or Money". More than half of these tracks were originally US hits, so there are a lot of familiar names - although it seems astonishing that American hit makers like Carl Perkins, the Fleetwood's and the Diamonds only ever had one UK hit.
