A couple of tips .. run clear water thru charcoal filter pouch before using for the first time, as if you don't, you will get a high ppm reading for many jugs before it eventually goes to zero. I don't suffer town water thank goodness, and my tank water is cleaner than what comes out of this machine according to the ppm, but it's only from the particles of charcoal dust from the new filter pouch.
