  • Lemmy - raw, unfiltered, what you see is what you get!

If you buy this DVD expecting some commentary coupled with a lot of concert footage or official song clips then you are going to be disappointed. Nor does this documentary chronicle the life of Ian (Lemmy) Kilmister. What it does provide is a very engaging, entertaining, and at times amusing, insight into Lemmy the man, the musician, the father (two sons but never married), and the lifestyle. More importantly, the documentary includes innumerable interviews, obnservations, commentary, by musicians from many quarters in the music industry who have been, and remain, influenced by the groundbreaking path that Lemmy and his band Motorhead cut for them. For those wishing to see concert footage, there is the odd snippet, but more importantly the 'extras' include several complete songs taken from a number of concerts. I have read Lemmy's biographhy which was a riot at times, but I enjoyed this documentary more so.
