Bought these to countersink mild steel using a pillar drill. Hardly scratched the surface despite considerable pressure. Gave up in the end and bought the 6 bladed countersink I should have purchased to begin with. No idea if they work on wood but would not recommend on steel.

Only wanted a metal countersunk for a very small job so I didn't want to spend too much. This package did exactly what I wanted and I still have them to use in the future should the need arise.
