Product Information

The 5600HS(D) provides remarkable flash output with the maximum guide number of 184 feet at ISO100 in a compact body. Flash coverage is available from 24mm to 85mm focal lengths, and further extends to the 17mm focal length with a built-in wide-angle adapter. The 5600HS(D) assures highly reliable metering accuracy with the ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) flash metering in combination with Konica Minolta's new lenses with distance encoder and the Maxxum7 or Maxxum5. It also supports versatile remote flash photography with Wireless/Remote High-speed Sync when the 5600HS(D) is used as an off-camera flash of the Maxxum7 or Maxxum5. The AF illuminator covers the Maxxum7's 9-point sensors in the wide focus area. Furthermore, the flash head tilts 10 downward for close-up photography.

    Fantastic Unit To Buy Used

    I purchased this for use on my a77. It was a higher end flash than I ever figured needing, but that's the beauty of buying used. This flash is the same as the Sony HVL-56AM. Sony just rebranded it when they bought Minolta. I'm certainly no pro, but this is a pro quality flash. I believe it sold for $400 new. I was shocked by how far this flash reached when I used it at an awards ceremony tonight.

    Works flawlessly. The age of the rubber side cover is old of course and nearly disintegrated when I took it off but that's just from age. Good overall product as advertised!
