Si además vives en Nápoles e ir a trabajar en Vespa se convierte cada día en una aventura; si eres abogada, licenciada cum laude, pero en la oficina solo te encargas del papeleo; y si tu familia es un desastre... Es comprensible que, de vez en cuando, se te inflen un poco las narices. Pelo de chico, vaqueros y botas militares, Luce es una joven honesta y luchadora, presa de una realidad compuesta por una madre intolerante e infeliz, su enamoramiento por un Peter Pan capullo, y un trabajo que no le satisface. Como único consuelo le quedan sus paseos con su perro Alleria, su único y verdadero confidente; y las charlas con su viejo vecino don Vittorio, un músico filósofo en silla de ruedas. Hasta que, un día, a Luce le asignan el juicio por la custodia de un menor. De pronto, en su vida aparecen un niño sabio muy especial, un artista callejero y trotamundos, y una golondrina que no parece tener ninguna intención de migrar. El juicio esconde muchas sombras, pero quizá sea la oportunidad para deshacer los nudos del pasado y para poner orden en la cabezota de Luce. Y también para resolver una duda: ¿marcharse, como hicieron su padre, su hermano y cualquiera que haya seguido el impulso de despegar; o quedarse y buscar la felicidad en su pedacito de mundo?
