Every amateur radio operator knows you need to unscrew the radio antenna from the back of the radio or have a disconnect switch. I’ve always just unscrewed and throw the antenna down to reduce static buildup coming in from the antenna with this, I would just open the door and screw the antenna leave the coax laying on the porchand leave the coax laying underneath the desk at my radio near the door.

But, if your windows have the little ridge at the bottom that mate's into the sill, don't use them or it will cut them in half. Mine don't and they work like a charm, mine have the flat bottom window. I tested them before using and the loss is very low, it shouldn't even be any noticeable loss, very well made. Fast shipping, I was eagerly waiting on them to use and I have been for over a week. Great 5 star seller, Thank you
