At that time, the Union consisted of Tonkin, Annam, Laos, Cambodia, and Cochin-China. Michael Kaponya shares his memoirs as a French Foreign Legionnaire who served in the infantry and participated in battles and countless skirmishes between 1949 and 1952 in Indochina.
