    The battery adapter fit fine. They allow me to use 357 type batteries in place of the discontinued 625 mercury batteries. The adapter corrects the voltage to the same voltage as the old mercury battery so that the light meter gives a correct exposure reading. It is a great invention. The battery adapter was received on time. It was worth the price to be able to use the camera meter again.

    Necessary for Correct Meter Reading.

    It is the only way to get a proper meter reading from a vintage 1970s SLR camera without a major alteration to the camera. Quick and easy voltage adjustment with an SR43 silver oxide battery instead of the original outlawed Mercury battery.
