Nice true RS232 device
I wrote a previous review which was in error due to a bad measurement on my part. Please disregard that one, I don't know how to delete it. This adapter is based on the ftdi chip which is reliable and has good drivers. The logic levels meet the RS232 standard. SOme cheaper adapters do not and may or may not work with some devices. This one is solid.

I needed an adapter cable for the Array Solutions Power Master meter. This meter is used to monitor radio transmitter output, forward power and reflected power (VSWR). The cable enables a connection between a computer and the meter. Software by Array Solutions can then be utilized for computer display of the meter information. Well worth it!!!
With the increasing loss of COMPorts on PCs being replaced by USB, there are still a large number of peripherals and other serial devices that use RS232. For me RS232 is easier to troubleshoot. But the number of USB - Serial Port (RS232-DE9 or DB25) dongles is diminishing rapidly. The Sabrent device is exactly what I needed. Driver software disk is included (that's important!!!). An Internet search for a driver may not find the proper driver required. After loading the driver... the laptop found the dongle when I plugged it in... and it started "playing" almost immediately.
