    A high quality set of BB taps

    While these taps are not cheap there are much lower in cost than the more expensive brands. They are precision made from high quality tool steel and provide the lowest cost of re tapping the BB threads. You get both a RHT and a LHT with the set and they solve a usually expensive solution to repair or cleaning out these BB threads. A must have for the serious bicycle repair or professional bicycle builder at a cost that is practical. They also come well packaged being individually wrapped and in a protective box.

    Worth its weight in steel!

    If you work on vintage bikes at all, this tool is invaluable. Vintage bikes always have some gunk, crud, rust or whatever dirtying up the threads in the bottom bracket, and this thing cleans them right out. Use plenty of grease or oil, and make a few passes if you need to. There is no "handle" but I just use a big monkey wrench to turn it after it's threaded in a ways. Obviously be gentle and don't force anything. If you think you will be doing more than say, 6 old bottom brackets, buy this thing. Otherwise, at least go to the bike shop and have them do it. I don't think you can use this to cut new threads; it cleans out the existing ones.

    Works like it should.

    Did the job, one frame had been powder coated and BB treads needed "cleaning". Another had a plastic/nylon threaded BB30 insert that also needed "cleaning", this did it for both.
