It works.
Yes/no questions never reflect the truth. My W7 system did not recognize The LifeCam 5000 did not work until it did. I rebooted and unplugged the cam and re-conected it a few times, and suddenly there it was. One thing - to use it with Doxy.me (Zoom too, I think) you have to turn off the installed camera app and let the online service pick it up by itself. Follow all hints and troubleshooting tips that pop up. Sound quality is OK but if your system is hooked up to room speakers, turn the speaker gain way down to avoid major feedback. I am aware that when I upgrade to W10, this may stop working, but maybe by then there will be a driver. Yes/no questions never reflect the truth. Easy to use and set up, sharp picture
This web cam is a very high quality piece of equipment. Its plug and play, quick and easy to set up, and has some great features. Face tracking works and it has 3x magnification. Well worth the price, which is not expencive. If you want a very nice web cam that is easy to use and can be used table top or hung on your laptop monitor then this is the one you want.

I bought this product because I needed to get my first webcam for my computer, and this one just so happened to have an internal microphone and was on sale. So I figured it was a steal. You bet it was. This may have not came in its original packaging, but it had everything there, everything was neat, unused. This webcam is great! I can't believe how good its still image size is! The camera is great on it as well, and it can sit almost anywhere that you can bend it. This webcam is lined with a tough and rough rubbery flex thingamajig so it'll grab onto almost anything and stay where it's at. After a couple of minutes of driver installation (it may take longer for you, since I have a pc dedicated to gaming) it worked like a charm and fired right up, no errors, no questions. Great little webcam for the money!
Great little webcam for the price! We use it to Skype with our daughter in college and it works great! I did research the higher rated web cams and this one had a great review for the price. Easy to install (just plug it in!) and easy to use with Skype. Its not a super fancy one that follows your face when you move and all that other stuff! But if you just want a good picture at a great price - I highly reccomend it!Great little webcam for the price! We use it to Skype with our daughter in college and it works great! Excellent webcam for older pc's
This is a great web cam. I chose this for the Excellent backlight features and minimum lag. For the price you just cant find better. I'm sure the hd viewcams are superior, but for older pc's running Win Xp this is great. Trust me you wont be disappointed. If I had a dual core pc or laptop I would recommend the HD version. Overall Excellent webcam.
