I can't rave enough about Nirvana's Unplugged in New York Album - and the Nirvana Unplugged book is a fine way to commemorate what is - in my opinion - the finest Nirvana album assembled and one of the finest live shows ever recorded. Unplugged albums are, of course, acoustic (ie without the plugs) - and surprisingly it suits Nirvana's hard, alternative sound superbly. More importantly, Kurt Cobain is phenomenal and mellows out his voice just enough to make the Unplugged music sounds perfect. The crowd is into the performance and their energy is palpable. Get the Nirvana Unplugged CD asap - its outstanding and moves from one great track to the next. 5/5! 1. About A Girl 2. Come As You Are 3. Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam 4. On the plus side, the notes and lyrics are all there. Goodwill of Southern California shipped it reasonably quickly and it is in decent condition. On the minus side, the lyrics are often split from the music, especially those after the first verse. This makes it more difficult to play through the songs. I think the publishers do this simply to save space, but I don't like it.
