Apparently the seller thought that the appropriate packing for mailing electronics two thousand miles in freezing weather for three weeks straight was to loosely stuff them into an old electric trimmer box without so much as a wadded up newspaper. I have no way of knowing the complete functional condition of the items before they were packed, but I am certain that the analog sticks did not appreciate this.
Also: Don't list your items as "2x" when you are selling them individually.

The seller responded with vitriol and entitlement while not addressing the poor packing at all. They put the onus on me to "just let them warm up." They don't seem to understand the phenomenon of condensation.
Dear seller: The issue is not how long it took to ship. The issue is you shipped it with zero insulation or packing material in a thin box that was haphazardly wrapped in purple plastic tape. They spent three weeks shipping like this in freezing weather across 2000 miles.
