Martin Kippenberger (1953-97) ist langst als bedeutender Kunstler des 20. Jahrhunderts anerkannt. Eine umfassende, kunsthistorisch fundierte Auseinandersetzung mit Kippenberger fehlte bislang jedoch. Erstmals konnte gezeigt werden, dass dem OEuvre ein ubergreifendes Thema zugrunde liegt, dessen fundamentale Bedeutung fur eine Vielzahl von Diskursen sich erst retrospektiv erschliesst: der Konstruktcharakter von Identitaten. Kippenberger erkannte diesen nicht nur fruh, sondern verband die ironische Wendung der Diskurse mit einer pointierten Persiflage auf die Kunst der Moderne und Postmoderne. Aus einer kritisch-distanzierten Warte, die stets die eigene Position als Kunstler und Europaer mit reflektierte, karikierte er jene kunstlerischen Positionen, die unreflektiert mit Identitatsklischees umgingen.

Pros - polite communication, low prices, generous discount offered for damaged book. Cons - very slow communication which tends to be generic and promises much but delivers little, heavy book was sent in a jiffy bag and arrived damaged, had to get Ebay involved to action the promised partial refund. Summary - 'pile it high and sell it cheap' organisation which is unable to provide efficient customer service and makes the mistake of not packaging books correctly. Will not buy from them again.
