Nicely packed for protection against the usual best efforts of the Delivery Service (who work for the "If You Can't Tear It, Crease It" division of the "Let's Make Everything A Bit Worse" Organisation.) I will be trying the soup recipe! Many thanks.

  • A very funny book

It humorously explores the kind of bureaucratic language that we all have to deal with when corresponding with officialdom. I used to own a copy back in the 80's and tried (occasionally successfully) to include some of the phrases in my letters. When reading this book your responses will range from wry smiles to outright guffaws. P.S. If you enjoy this kind of humour look up " Simplified Integrated Modular Prose".
