My piper cub super cruiser is noisy. Even with my old passive david clark headset I have to have the radio up so loud my ears ring a bit after flying. So I bought this new active noise reduction set because.. one only has one set of ears to take care of. Have used this for a couple of flights so far and I can set the radio volume about 2/3rds a high as I did before. The first time I used the headset there was a big industrial lawnmower near me at the airport and I turned on the headset and the lawnmower sound went away. So I got to wondering if I'd hear the airplane engine well enough if it, was for example, not running well on takeoff roll. But yes, you can still hear the airplane engine well enough to detect any issues if they would ever occur. and yes, it is easy to blue tooth connect to your phone for a phone call or to listen to music. My first flight was 2 hours with it and my ears did get a little sore but they do with any headset. I don't think this is any more comfortable than my david clark passive headset. The part of the cord with the batteries clips right on my seatbelt but it took a little trial and error to find a nice way to route the cord. But yes, it appears this active noise reduction set is worth the money and going to help me take care of my hearing.Read full review

I have flown with Bose, Lightspeeds, DC 10-76XLs, and Pilot USAs, but these take the cake. They are quiet as all get out, great bluetooth connectivity and audio, incredible build quality and are very comfortable. I will reiterate how well built they feel, solid metal armatures and hinges feel like it will outlast the Bose and teh boom stays EXACTLY where you put it, even under G with a FLITELite mounted on it, unlike the Lightspeed that always seemed to run away exactly when you needed it. They are pricey, but they will last!

Good built quality, very comfortable and light weight. Sound is okay. ANR is good.

The headset was comfortable and the ANR works well, but it should have been sold for less, because the cables are worn out and the ear covers were not in great condition.
