The game features 20 different "American style" muscle cars, each with unique handling characteristics and its own distinct driver character. Smash-'em-up battles take place in 18 destructible arena locations. Tracks include interactive elements, such as a hydraulic lift or a moving train, which may pose additional challenges (or perhaps be used to the advantage of clever drivers). Six modes of online play are available to gamers with a broadband Internet connection and a PS2 Network Adaptor, supporting as many as 20 human-controlled competitors in the same arena. Destruction Derby Arenas is a very underrated game.
Destruction Derby Arenas doesn't have the best graphics but, is a blast to play. The beginner cars are a little slow at first and are a little hard to control but, once you get the upgrades it's starts getting faster and has better controls. Has a lot of unlockable. Has over 20 plus vehicle's and 18 tracks and arenas. Also has an awesome split screen multi player. You and your buddy can play split screen with A I opponents. A fine pick.
It isn't anything groundbreaking. But honestly, who doesn't enjoy smashing up cars with other cars. The action is decent, it doesn't really stand up to the next gen standards set by the other systems' games. but for a ps2 title it's great. A must have for any destruction derby series fan. =)

Overall great game, recommended for casual gamers looking to have fun
This is a very fun game, however it is very difficult at times to win. The other cars seem ridiculously fast. But overall, a great game. I would do four and a half stars if I could, however ebay only lets me do whole stars. (4 stars, or 5 stars.)

If you like realistic, in-depth driving games, you took a wrong turn! This game is non-stop explosions, skids, and rocket boosts! Lots of tracks, lots of cool cars, and smashing, lots of smashing. You are scored of hits, jumps, skids, and pretty much anything you do to cause maximum destruction. The soundtrack and graphics keep the action high. This was the best game under $10 that I have bought since n64....that's right.. rock on n64 lovers!!If you like realistic, in-depth driving games, you took a wrong turn!
