I bought the Wii version of Band Hero for my niece and nephew. I have it myself on PS2. It is a fun game, plays much like most Guitar Hero games. I like that it is not too hard for beginners, but I still found it challenging on the harder settings. In this game, you can play as Taylor Swift, Adam Levine and others once you unlock the characters by playing their songs. There are many pop and teen songs on this version, which is why I bought it for an 8 and 12 year old. As an adult, I found it annoying that any even remotely questionable word in the lyrics is cut out, it is especially annoying when trying to sing. This game is great for kids and teens, and fun for adults as well, but if you are looking for a game with more alternative music and uncensored lyrics, I would recommend Guitar Hero World Tour or GH5.Read full review
I’m glad this game worked. Graphics aren’t great because it’s an older model and I have a fairly new smart TV that’s kind of big so the picture isn’t full but is still fun to play and no working issues.

I bought Band Hero to be able to import Guitar Hero 5 & GH Smash Hits into it. For the Wii, Band Hero allows us to do this like other platform users. BH lets more people sing vocals and has Harmonies like Beatles and Green Day Rock Band. I started out with Rock Band 2 and prefer the RB2 instruments and the way the notes are done on RB2. Unfortunately on the Wii RB products do not allow importing of music from other games just DLC. Band Hero lets you import and also lets you buy track packs which is something else you can't do with Rock Band on the Wii. I'm hoping with Rock Band 3 that Wii users will be able to do the things that Band Hero lets you do.
I love how you don't have to have the whole Band Hero kit to play the game. We eventually will, but for now just have Guitar Hero, so hence, one guitar. My friend gave me a microphone, so you can play with just one or two people if that is what you want, too. I can practice singing by myself if I want. If you have 4 guitars, use them! If you have 4 mics, go for it! If you only have a drum kit, that's ok too. Don't let the name fool you - you can use any combination of mics, guitars, or drums. This has a great set list, and it's easy to unlock songs. Have fun!
I've always been good with music games and so far I am pleased with this game. Graphics are good, but compared to the other guitar hero games, it's a lil bit more Pop orientated, which does bother me. Gameplay is still the same so I'm happy with that, although i would've been nice if they had left the kick drum marker be purple... throws me off... Selection of music is good, wish they had more rock music thou. So overall, the game is good, but it could be better.
