    Good multifunction Canon printer

    This is a laser multifunction printer, you can buy the toner cartridges at a great price also in eBay. It makes excellent copies. The programming of the printer to the rest of the functions, like sending and receiving faxes, scanning, etc. is really complicated and dificult to do. It will not send and receive faxes automatically, you have to program it first. So complicated, that I decided to use it only as a copier. I am using my HP multifunction for faxes and scanning. I had Canon Image Class Multifunction printers before and faxing ad scanning was very easy and simple. Not this one. You have to bring a Canon Engineer home to use it for that.

    Good Printer, 600 DPI limit. Great Value for Home or Small Office Machine

    I bought the MF236 to replace a MF212 that served me very well for several years, then died. I don't care that the MF236 is not WiFi capable, but the maximum 600 DPI is a disappointment. The 212 printed 1200 DPI as standard, and 600 DPI was considered draft, or "toner saver" mode. Overall, I certainly would recommend this printer for home or small office use. Aftermarket toners are VERY inexpensive for this printer, and last a long time.

    for the money Canon products are tough to beat. this is the 3rd printer i have purchased and have had great performance and virtually no problems with Canon printers.

    Great Addition to my Home Office

    This is a very good and sturdy buy, Setup is a breeze but to use the scan panel make sure that you go to the canon website to Dl, it. Starter cartdridge will last you a very long while, depending on printer usage. Example, I have printed 112 pages as of todays date. 5/20/2020 and starter cart is still at 100%. Prints clear and very fast boot time. This is not WI FI this is eithernet or USB Only.

    Exchanged for newer version of same model, very happy. Great machine.

    This machine replaces an identical model. We replaced it because the "Scan" manual "button" was becoming unresponsive, and my wife used that often to scan documents. Otherwise the machine was great. We see that the new machine has "fancier" drivers.
