This CD, which may look different from the image above, is a good collection of Fred Astaire's most memorable performances. Many of the songs on Let's Face the Music and Dance were featured in the Astaire-Rogers films. There are twenty-seven tracks in total, and they are arranged by songwriter, Irving Berlin, George and Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Bernard Hanighen, and Cole Porter. These are excellent songs by some of the greatest songwriters ever to have worked in Hollywood or elsewhere. The recordings were made between 1935 and 1943 and include such classics as "Let's Face the Music and Dance," "Cheek to Cheek," "Top Hat, White Tie and Tails," "They All Laughed," "A Foggy Day," "Nice Work If You Can Get It," "They Can't Take That Away From Me," "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off," "The ...
