Classic kit still worth adding to your collection. This kit dates from 1963/4 and has all the attributes and some of the faults from kits of these times. (This is an 80's rebranding complete with useless box art, which stops the new buyer looking any further). The moulding itself is crisp, but contains the usual flash and the odd burr, but with simple skill and patience with the old wet n dry and scalpel, this can be effectively removed. The outline of the kit is remarkable, being a very faithful model, so if you have the correct shape then you yourself can add to it, to create an excellent replica. The instructions are quite frankly dreadful being printed in pale blue, and therefore are very hard to read. So back to my instruction archive where I pulled out an original instruction pack complete with full English guidance in writing, (ahh, those were the days!!). Should be available now. Maybe Brexit might allow, but probably wont. Construction is simple if you wish to do it straight from the box, but as this fills a gap in standard 1/72nd scale British aircraft, the extra work is worth it !! The wings and undercarriage panels fit very well, and so I cemented the wings to the fuselage from the inside with Loctite, works every time !!Read full review
