Hp sells you the printer with this basic ink, I have good results with it, I own a Desk jet 1513 scanner copier printer, works great, for what i need it for, the only problem is desk jet printers tend to use a lot of ink fast HP makes another type of the same ink called 61+ black toner and color ink for this type printer. What the difference you ask? Basic ink uses up fast with just a mere 123 sheets, 61+ gives you better quality photos and print features. You decide. NOTE by all means Don't refill kits for HP ink tanks it can Destroy your printer heads I Know I try the budget way before, and paid dearly for it by buying a new printer. Always look for the genuine logo on the box, Remember some are not official and that can lead up to trouble down the road. Combo Value Pack
Order arrived on time and in good condition. The reason I do not recommend it is because the package clearly states that this combo value pack is "For sale in Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific Islands ONLY"! Since I am located in the United States, why I was allowed to make this purchase thru eBay is somewhat of a mystery.

The ink cartridges are genuine HP brand new and work better than the originals that came with my printer. I do not print very much and buy just the standard ink cartridges. The original ink cartridges that came with my printer stopped working with 20% of the ink remaining. If you do not print much, why buy the XL cartridges just to have them stop working. I notice better looking colors and dark clear print with the new cartridges. I will be very happy if I get 190 pages out of these cartridges. I only got about 80 pages out of the original HP cartridges. I do not know if the cartridges that come with the printer have less ink, but I never got a low ink level warning before they stopped printing. I noticed the price is up $4, I am glad I purchased when I did. Still cheaper than the retail ... I just got tired of going to a retail store to buy the ink and find they are out of what I need. Also, their prices are higher if they have the product. I try to plan ahead and order my ink prior to the time for a new print cartridge. I only use HP ink in my HP printer. I learned that the hard way.
