    I bought a cheaper one because it said it would work and had the same pin layout but as soon as I installed it, it blew my A/C fuse. Don't go with the cheap A/C switch, get one like this, a genuine toyota part! I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5 (3rd Gen) and it's an exact match!

    Worth the extra few dollars to get the right product

    This AC switch is the exact same switch that I was replacing on my 2000 Toyota Tacoma. There are several cheaper aftermarket versions of this switch that ‘fit’ in my truck, but after reading the reviews of those, they are not a perfect fit, and the light is always on (even if the AC is turned off). Also, I read that the the trim around it needs to be filed down a bit to make fit, and several other issues I found in the reviews of those aftermarket versions. It was not easy to fine the EXACT replacement for my switch, but it was worth the extra few dollars to get the OEM switch. It fits perfectly and looks and operates exactly as it should.

    Doesn't work.

    Installed the A/C switch. Ran the A/C and there was NO COLD AIR. The A/C light does not work. The A/C unit was checked and working properly.
