    Good tripod for wildflowers. Well-built and a good height.

    Solid and well-built. Much better than the two others I considered in the same price-range. The quick-release locks in securely. Good working height for wildflowers, which is why I bought it. Stable on level surfaces, but could tolerate a wider stance (footprint) for better stability on uneven terrain. (I generally keep my hand on the camera and rarely take my hand out of the wrist strap on ANY tripod.) Supports a crop-sensor DSLR and moderate tele/macro well. My new favorite tripod for the hiking trail. Not a substitute for a taller tripod for some purposes, but that's not why I bought it.
