      Great older CD Player!

      This is a very common, yet pretty decent CD player. This player was made after Panasonic stopped using their excellent MASH DAC. So in turn audio quality is different from previous generations. With S-XBS off you'll get clear and balanced audio. With S-XBS on you'll get more boosted bass level compared with XBS models, mids and highs are a bit recessed as a result of this (XBS boosted everything! highs,mids and lows) however with S-XBS bass output remains tight and isn't boomy at all! Battery life is overall excellent as is the Antishock function, 10 seconds is fine for just walking around with this unit, but jogging is a no go. Panasonic managed to keep there build quality up a notch or two above Sony in the late 90's which is something allot of companies couldn't do. This player shows ...
