inexpensive and powerfull
it operates strongly. it is easy to maintain with 2 batteries you can get anywhere. to me it is the most inexpensive type that I found and I believe it will work as well as any others. it does its cutting as you push it, I think it might be a little better if it trimmed when you pulled it but that makes not that much difference anyway. and I would also like it to unfold 180 degrees but it still works good. you can trim your back in a few minutes and good and close. I was tapping my trimmer with electrical tape to a stick to reach my back. it was a real pain. with this I am done in less than a tenth of the time so you can look better on the beach.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Mangroomer 2
I bought one of these a while ago and it was excellent. Rechargeable and solidly built. And it made short work of my hairy back making me no longer looking like I had escaped from the zoo. Alas it got blunt over the years and on seeing the price of the replacement blades it made good sense to order a brand new replacement. I thought I was buying the same again but this new Mangroomer is a pale imitation. Made by the same company and costing the same it's a far inferior product. It's much lighter and has no real weight to it making it harder to use. The weaker joints mean that it won't stay in position plus it is now battery operated not rechargeable. Luckily I used the cutting blade of the new one to revamp my old one so I'm still not being hassled by zoo keepers.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bought one a few years back... No pun intended. So handy for those spots that hair appears with age. Wish they had updated the quality by now, old one doesn't turn on when want. taken it apart several times, decided to grab another since cornered the market really. I've had one of these before except it was the more expensive rechargeable model. Lightweight and easy to use.
This is my second ManGroomer. I love this groomer! The folding handle makes it easy to reach my entire back area. Cuts closer than traditional clippers. The 2 AA batteries last quite a while and it still works well on low batteries. My first one lasted years until the plastic piece that connects the motor to the cutting head finally wore out. Keep the cutting head clean and occasionally lube with a little mineral oil. I used to use a razor attached to a curved stick but this is easier with less mess.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Torture Device
I wish I did not throw away the old Mangroomer I had for 10 years! After 10 years of solid performance, it died on me. I purchased a new Mangroomer exact same model and instead of it trimming body hair it rips it out of my skin which is torture. I contacted the manufacturer and they acted like I was doing something wrong with the product. You would think after 10 years owning one with no issues I'd operate the second Mangroomer without issue. Honestly, I just feel the quality of the product has declined over the years. I tried aligning the blades, cleaning and lubing the blades but still rips hair from my skin. Pure torture...Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesome, BUT...
It works great and finally gives an answer for shaving my back by myself. Just make sure that you use new batteries in it because I tried some older ones out of a remote control when I first got it and it was just painfully pulling out the hair. Worth the money
Before I bought this I was torn between a non electric shaver and this one. I used it the day it arrived, worked PERFECTLY and easily, reaches easily at all angles and not too heavy either. Really satisfied and glad I didn't get the non electric ( and famous razor on kickstarter), the electric made sense, uses two AA batteries.
