    Tom Thumb is big on FUN!!!

    The picture and sound for this DVD by Warner Archive was outstanding. It's aspect ratio is 1.85:1, so there is very little letterboxing on 16x9 (1.77:1) TVs. George Pal's production included Puppetoon and cartoon segments that are very entertaining. The plot is very simple, so children will love it and will probably want to watch it many times. Adults will appreciate the imaginative effects, but I doubt they'll want sit through many repeat viewings. I do recommend the movie to anybody who likes fantasy films. It may not be a classic, but it does have a few classic moments to enjoy.
