      Kaput almost right away.

      I work in IT department and I know you can occasionally get the bad component right out of the box, well that happened to me. Hard drive failed almost right away after plugging into USB 3.0 port. Started making a clicking sound and just stopped backing up on initial backup. Wasn't worth sending it back and paying shipping for it. Don't blame the retailer, could happen to any backup hard drive.
