    OEM replacement gas cap

    Had a check engine light for my Chevy Astro. Code reader indicated evaporative control. The old gas cap had a deteriorated gasket. This new gas cap fit and resolved the check engine light.

    GAS CAP

    ALL OF THE INTERNET SITES SAY THAT THIS IS THE CAP FOR ME, BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE THE TETHER. NOW, I'M SURE IT FITS AND ALL BUT MY '98 PONTIAC DOESN'T HAVE A PLACE TO HOLD THE CAP INSIDE THE FUEL DOOR. THAT MEANS I WOULD EITHER SET IT SOME PLACE AND FORGET IT OR HOLD IT IN MY HAND WHILE PUMPING. SO I WILL KEEP IT FOR ONE OF MY OTHER CARS THAT DOES HAVE A CATCH FOR IT ON THE INSIDE OF THE FUEL DOOR OR SELL IT AT A GARAGE SALE. I BOUGHT ONE WITH A TETHER SOMEWHERE ELSE.

    Hard to remove

    Although this seems to be of good quality, it is easy to put on but next to impossible to remove. I was used to being able to remove old gas cap with one hand, now it takes all my might with both hands.
