For a quick and easy update
We used this kit to upgrade our old "crystal ball" shower handle which was loose and leaking. Not wanting the headache of re-plumbing for a cartridge type, we looked to this. It did exactly what we needed and looks great. Best of all, only took about 10 minutes to install. The only complaint is the often discussed fact that you point the top of the handle right for hot water which is opposite of a "normal" configuration. Also be sure to tighten the handle all the way down with the set screw to ensure it doesn't sag. Overall, I would recommend, especially in stainless.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great quality product. Works and looks great. Saves a lot of work replacing the old valve. Easy to install. Biggest problem is removing the old ball valve. The threaded retainer on mine was seized and would not loosen. I used a die grinder to split the retainer nut as suggested by others.
