I bought this to aireate my farm pond. I drove an iron pipe in the bottom, wired this pump up with a couple of wire ties. put a four foot piece of PVC pipe on the outlet and plugged it in. Its been pumping since, four or so months! it shoots water up about 2 feet past the end of the pipe with no nozzle. I initially put a home made spray nozzle on it, just a pipe cap with holes drilled so it shot water out at a 45 degree angle and one big one out the top. I did not glue it cause I wanted to see what it looked like first. It blew the nozzle off, I have not bothered to replace it. good pump for the bucks

It started out well. Automatically emptying our dry well. But stopped pumping after a week and a half of service. Switch is ok, length of electric cord great, but even though the motor seems to work well, only a trickle of water comes out. In the photos, one can see the water coming out of my backup pump(1/3 hp) from the blue hose, while it trickles out of the black pipe connected to the one hp pump. I am very disappointed-- what is my recourse?

We put this pump through a workout and I am happy to say that it did the job. My inground swimming pool had not been cleaned in 3 years for reasons beyond my control. So not only was it full of thick green algae, when we got down to the bottom of the 9 feet deep end, it was also full of mud. I really wasn’t sure if the pump was going to be able to handle the job. But it did! I highly recommend this pump.

The pump works well, and is a very good value for the price. Emptied a large pool in a decent amount of time. However, you need to be aware that: (1) A maximum continuous run time of 5-6 hours is stated in the manual. So, if you need to use it longer than that, you will need to give the pump a break. (2) It cannot empty the last few inches of water, as the water level has to be high enough for the float switch to activate. (2) The pump has a high center of gravity. So, the floor has to be perfectly level, or you will need to tie the pump down such that it does not topple over.

Great Deal! Small enough to work amounts larger than a shop vac , yet powerful enough to handle the Pool. Value, quality are top shelf ! It leaves you wondering “how’d they do that” , real quality , for so little money .
