    Good intent - poor workmanship

    Low quality copy of a very useful tool. Noone expects Bergeon quality from a $50 jig but there are limits. My specimen has knurled thumb nut drilled and tapped at an angle to its axis and nicked threads. Looks like it was made w/out a benefit of a drill press. With time and patience one can use this tool for crude jobs but don't expect jeweler/watchmaker quality.

    Jig vise miter

    I have been a professional metalsmith for a very long time....I found this product to be of poor quality and is definitely not the correct tool for jewelers. The width of metal is severely limited and the jig does not hold the metal firmly square. When using a file the metal does not finish in a fine smooth end necessary to join jeweler metal ends.

    Mitre jig poor workmanship

    It will do the job, however, workmanship is poor. Inside block surfaces are rough and will damage workpieces unless protected Bocks are difficult to slide I purchased this only because I am out of town away from my bench The one I use has lasted me 30+ years and still like new if you plan on a career buy the best and and buy it once

    Bad choices

    The picture fooled me the miter block was not flat like it should of been and to much of a pain in the ass to send it back, next time I'll pay higher price to get it right. Don't spend good money on a bargain it's not worth it.
