    Excellent kit for a rebuild

    Now my old Stihl 042AV runs like a top. The needle valve rocker is slightly different than the original but no issues with compatability.

    Good repair kit.

    I have bought this kit to rebuild the carb on me vintage chainsaw Stihl 042 AV. The kit did not have this specific model in the description, but it worked for me great. I started the saw in less than 10 minutes. It even has an exploded view of the component assembly. Easy to read and follow the print. Good job. The parts in the third picture did not fit, they are also included, but they may be for other models. This saw was left to me by great family uncle as a thing to remember him by. It was built in 1976. I am also happy that i can still find parts for it.

    I will keep looking.

    The kit needed a gasket to go under the pump plate which was not in kit. My saw was built in 1976. The kit that has that gasket I couldn’t fine.
