They are wider than my stock seals and I could not fit the retaining clip back into the groove. I installed them anyway and are working fine, so far they have not leaked or worked there way out.

These are ONLY compatible for the XS850 Standard, not any of the XS850 Specials, they require a shorter seal. I would imagine that is the disconnect for his XS850
