This is a very nice product. It is a shame that the setting up instructions for wifi are not very helpful because everything else about the product is brilliant. I founf the best way to set it up was to temporarily connect it to the network with an ethernet cable (they even provide one in the box). Once it is connected this way, you can access all the settings easily - including setting the 2.4GHz wlan SSID and the wlan password. Be very careful to get the wireless password right as there is no error message to tell you if it is wrong. Once set up, remove tbe ethernet cable, power cycle the camera and locate it wherever you like within wifi coverage. By the way, it does take 3 or 4 minutes for the camera to boot up so don't expect it to connect instantly upon being powered on!

Image quality is pretty good day and night, good enough probably to watch a baby but has 2 big defects and I don't think it is good enough as part of alarm installations: - WIFI installation is very difficult, I sorted out that part because I'm and IT person but requires config on your router to permit the access and the IP address assignment - Other big issue is the limited mobility what is an unexpected design error for a big brand like Yale. If you want to install it on wall or ceiling is not possible to set the camera on a diagonal direction to capture the area that you want and it can't be digitally tilt either, then, in my case, it's impossible to install it on side wall or ceiling to the window as I wanted to watch external access from my garden In conclusion and after giving this little camera a lot of chances, I will return it.Read full review

A camera that is connected to the internet, fairly straight forward to set up via a wireless link to your broad band hub, or direct by cable, just needs a mains power outlet, there is a memory card slot to enable storage of images or video for later referral. Camera has day mode, and infrared night vision. An app on a smart phone enables this Yale devise, and many others in their range to be controlled, also video from this device can be viewed on the phone, as can some other camera devices in the Yale range. This camera is capable of almost 360 degrees left to right motion with at least 90 degrees up, and down giving almost total coverage of an area to be "protected". Alerts from detected motion report to your smart phone, and e-mail. Yale have a fairly good web site to help set up this product, and their other wireless Home Alarm kits, worth a look.Read full review

Very good picture quality. The App for the product works well. Great to check in when you're away from home. It's a shame it can't be linked to the regular Yale CCTV App, but a great product anyway.

You'll need to supply a computer monitor with a HDMI connection to set this up but you could borrow one from a nearby PC or buy a cheapy on eBay! Setup is easy although some of the menu options are not very intuitive. Picture quality is OK - HD Ready rather than HD but perfectly fine. Adding in additional IP cameras is quite fiddly too.
