good things it has everything phone, mp3 player, good quality camera, radio, gps and with a bit of luck a tom tom replacement though i have not got that working yet I bought it mainly for the camera I grew sick and tired of lugging around so many separate items not so good things ludicrous socket for headphones, really irritating had to buy an adapter and the socket does not work very well same socket used for charging so nothing simple like nokia some keys do not work very well this seems a common fault keeps phoning up and texting the last person i spoke to on its own maybe due to fault mentioned above, the case i bought or me not making sure it is locked after use a bit big and heavy I am really pleased and glad i bought it. More gadgets contained than you can shake a stick at, hours of fun getting them all to workRead full review
I've been using this for about a month, and HATE it! My previous Sony Ericsson W595 had superb build quality, but the LCD screen was damaged by accident, so I decided to buy another Sony Ericsson model, with 8 megapixels to improve the photographic capability. I got an excellent deal on e-bay, with the model I specified delivered in good time without any problems. The more I use it the less I like it. All the key buttons are not only fiddly to use but fairly un-sensitive (except the side buttons, which are all too easy to press accidentally), the lens cover is difficult to open and close, but the most annoying habit it has is to cut off a caller as soon as the reply button is pressed, not every time but randomly! Sony Ericsson suggested I update the phone, but this made no difference. If I liked the phone more, I'd send it to Sony Ericsson to get it fixed (if I thought they could!), but I'm going to cut my losses, chuck it in the bin, and the replace the LCD screen on my old W595! Although the 595 is older, the graphics are in my opinion far superior to the C905, and the photographic capability is almost as good - but without the bulk of the latter. In summary, a disappointing and expensive mistake on my part!Read full review
Great phone, nice price over eBay, great photos. The flash is very useful and is powerful, so powerful as a normal point and shoot camera. Picture quality is nice, although there is some grain in the dark, but i'd say it is almost the same as a normal point and shoot camera. Takes 2-3 secs until camera is ready to shoot. You need to buy a M2 memory card since you can only save like 33 photos (if you don´t save any music!). LCD quality is nice, the buttons are very well placed and the keyboard is OK. The charger male port has the same problem as many sony-ericsson's: it seems very fragile. The size of the phone is adequate for its features, and it's not heavy. The sound quality of phone is very nice. The GPS works well, with option of A-GPS. WiFi is very quick to access and saves favourite access points. Of course that for turn-by-turn navigation you need to download maps as you go with 3G. By the way, 3G works in Europe (I'm from Portugal) in my model, but beware that there are at least 2 models of Sony Ericsson C905(a/i). The browser works very well, and I was surprised to see that it opens websites very fast and adjusts well the display (no flash, but that is obvious). The OS is intuitive and the menus are ok. I'd say that fot less than 200 dollars is a keeper, and I am very happy with the phone. There is no deal breaker here, unless you need to use it as your main GPS, in wich case I'd look for a phone with Android/WM/iPhone/Symbian.Read full review
This is the perfect camera phone to save using two pieces of equipment. The phone is good to use and feels solid and has all the features you would need if a little large. The camera is excellent and the picture quality is fantastic as you would expect from 8.1mpix My only gripes are that Sony have stuck to there own memory stick instead of using the ones I already have, also the headphone socket is not the usual mini-jack but their own weird socket although an adapter is provided. In all an excellent piece of technology.
You could never go wrong with Sony Ericsson in the phone camera department, bought this to send to the Philippines for a graduation gift. I got to test it as I had one years ago and realised it did not feel the same as It did when I had one, phone slide is clumsy often pressing keypad when activating, texts as always with Sony offer more characters in one message. Was not happy with the loudspeaker on the phone as it sounded distorted and unable to hear clearly, the camera is impressive always with Sony. Texting is a whole lot better than most phones as keypad is larger and numbers and text visible
