Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Adjustable Power Supplies
This is nowhere near the form and fit of the Keysight supplies I'm used to using, however for a fraction of the cost, this one provides great value for the home lab. So far this unit has performed well for me, I'm not expecting it to last forever, but for the light duty applications I have at home, it is a great fit and value. I haven't measured the noise or stability yet, but at least on the display it appears reasonably solid. I've used it in CC and CV mode, both perform well. It would be nice to be able to explicitly change the mode and set over-current protection etc... but that's why it's so inexpensive relative to some higher quality systems out there

Voltage limit works great above 5V, starts having small (~5%) error with low voltages but still totally usable. Current limit works well above 500mA, is touchy below that, and cannot be set for less than 200mA at all.

It’s ok for the price. The power button is oblong and kinda jams up when pushing it on and off, but works. Also I thought you could set the voltage and the amps you want but they fluctuate and you have to keep adjusting the voltage or the amps to the voltage you want. I have only used it a couple times. For the price it’s ok. I would probably buy it again. Just wish the voltage was more stable.

Just got the power supply yesterday so will see how it works over time, but so far so good. Seems to be decent quality and measuring against my Fluke 87V, also seems to be almost dead on voltage wise. As others have stated, for some reason, the left side of the front panel was pressed in a bit but that was an easy fix. The included cable's banana plugs are a bit hard to get into the connectors, but do go in. Also the top handle screws were a bit loose and I was concerned that the nuts would eventually fall onto the PCB over time, so I tightened them and used a bit of locktite to make sure they do not come loose again. Overall seems to be a really nice unit for the price.

Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, the negative terminal on my unit is way too small to fit a banana plug (even the included ones). I measured the inner diameter with my calipers at 3.65 mm. The standard size is 4 mm. I started to attempt to drill the hole to the correct diameter, but I don't think there would've been anything left if I did. Since I keep the negative and ground tied together anyway, I just use the ground plug instead. Still, it speaks to the quality control on these things. It's like someone picked a part from the wrong bin during assembly. This is a switching supply, so there is a fair amount of noise on the output. It's tolerable for my purposes, but if you need a real steady source of DC, look elsewhere. Despite these drawbacks, you can't beat the price. If you are looking for a quality supply, however, be prepared to spend some more money.Read full review
