A god kit but needs a few little points
This is the second of these kits I bought recently for the same job, both from different suppliers due to slight differences in the parts offered. This kit has the metal parts blackened, so quite professional looking compared to the bare metal of the other. However neither kit had any kind of fitting guide, so while you can work it all out by trial and error you really need to compare the bits you remove with the bits in the kit - there can be some confusion. The first photo is my older kit; the second is this one. This kit is lacking one O-ring; there should be two; and there is no spring cap which is a shaped washer to prevent the spring eating through the large nylon cup washer to the right of the photo - lower centre in my photo. I've got absolutely no idea where the red washers go... they weren't on either of my gearbox assemblies that I reconditioned - hence instructions would be good. Still a good kit though and I've fitted the best components of both kits to my better gearbox unit, and the rest to the spare.

Reverse recovered
This kit has enabled me to recover reverse gear on my Triumph Vitesse 6. The kit was fitted by my local garage who also found that the transmission tunnel cover was in a bad state so this was also replaced. But the kit was the key to recovering reverse gear which had suddenly become inaccessible. The kit has also made gear-changing tighter and slicker offering a worthwhile improvement. I shall soon be having an overdrive gearbox fitted to my car and will use this remote gearchange with that gearbox.This kit has enabled me to recover reverse gear on my Triumph Vitesse 6.
