The box was not sealed well, and the top of the box had somehow popped up leaving holes in the sides where something (dirt, bugs, rain) could get in the box. Luckily, the puzzle had not been damaged. It was new and unopened, as described. If I purchased from this seller again I would make sure to ask that the item be packaged securely.
