Essential, and requires METRIC allen keys to install
High quality and easy to install strap locks in a range of attractive finishes to compliment your guitar. Note - you will need a set of METRIC allen keys (hex keys) to install these. Ignore what the Schaller website says - IMPERIAL sizes do not work. I found this out the hard way.

Great improvement
I've been using the previous schaller strap locks, and what I like about these new ones is that they're more comfortable to pull when you're removing the strap from your instrument. The old ones (At least mine) get stuck, and the pin being so short, can sometimes be really annoying. That's another improvement I see on the new ones: The pin is almost flat and longer, meaning that you can use thicker straps and not worry about the nut in the lock falling down. (Happened to me as well). They also changed the nut in this one, and now can be tightened with your hands, but they added a small hole in case you want to make it even tighter, by using a small allen key. What I don't like is that the button (the part attached to your instrument) is now one joint with a screw, unlike before where ... Great but some traps for young playrts
This is an up dated version of probably the most well know strap locks in the world. The thing I didn’t catch on when installing you need an Allen/hex key instead of a screw driver. I didn’t notice any instructions to this affect and no key was provided. Consequently I damaged the paint on the button so Beware. You will also need a glasses screw driver for a grub screw on the strap lock.
