    They don't make thngs like they used to.

    Decent quality for the price. Original Slinky was a better brand. Larger Slinkies will work better. This one is for a ground plane inductor, for my HAM radio. Slinkies are very useful for radio operators, and were actually used routinely in Vietnam.

    Lots of fun for kids of all ages

    Fun for hours. My big kid plays with this while he does his homework. He loves the easy metallic sound as it walks down the stairs. This toy is inexpensive and easy to enjoy.

    Memories

    We bought one of these for our granddaughter, age 7, who had gotten a small, cheap plastic one at a cousins birthday party. When she was told that I had a real one she was really interested in the fun of playing with it. Mine is at least 25 years old as her Dad and Uncle had got this for me one Christmas when they were young. When I found it on Ebay and ordered it she was very happy and thanked us for getting it for her. Her Dad, our oldest, says she has been playing with it every chance she gets. It's great to see a toy, a real toy, that doesn't need batteries or an instruction sheet.

    New use for old toy!

    I had been having a problem with squirrels eating all my expensive bird food. In a burst of inspiration, I fastened the slinky to the pole my bird feeders are mounted on - see photo for the finished product. It works - notice the bird in the feeder and the squirrel sitting forlornly at the base of the pole!
