This mat will probably do an adequate job of protecting the dash itself from the sun. But if you are buying this item to reduce dash glare, think again. The mat’s fibers do almost as good a job of reflecting sunlight into the driver’s eyes as a naked dash; worse, the added texture reflects from the inside of the windshield and reduces forward vision. Also, if you’re ordering anything except the item’s default color, do everything you can to confirm they’ll send the correct item.
