    Regina is a revelation.

    I was given Regina's album Soviet Kitsch by my 23 year old son who likes a lot of 'different' stuff. I grew to absolutely love it. So I looked for another of her albums and found this one. Once again it took a few hearings to really 'get it' but I was captivated by that crystal clear voice used in a breathtakingly clever way at times. As someone who pays a lot of attention to words in a song Regina's songs can be heart-rending, hilarious and hum-drum in turn. The imaginative and unique interplay between piano, voice and words is always a joy. I find myself singing along at one moment, then feeling that it is an insult to try and join in. She is truly a revelation. Please listen. I can't wait to hear another one of her collections.

    Regina Spektor - Begin To Hope

    Spektor's music might be called a bit special at times, for example "Music Box", but if you let yourslef go with it and just listen, then her songs will hopefully be some of the best music you have ever heard. The first song that cought my hearing was "Samson", which might be the most normal song, in case of sounds and melody. "Samson" is a beautiful masterpiece which soon after hearing it became on of my top five favourite songs. Some of the other songs on this album, for example "Hotel Song" and "Better" I didn't get so fond of at first, but after listening to them a second time, I truly loved them, and couldnt stop hitting the repeat button. I sincerely recomend everyone who likes to listen to music, especially the ones a bit fed up with the "easier" kind, to concider adding Regina ...

    Regina Spektor

    I bought this after hearing her singing on Jools Holland. Wow, she is impressive as a writer and singer. I love the music, it is varied and unusual and she plays really well. I especially like it because it is not electronic and because of the ideas & lyrics [although some are quite strange] - they are poetic and make you think.
