    Works great makes a pretty big difference over my celeron 1.8 single core.

    Pretty big difference over my Celeron 1.8 single core, paired it with a hybrid SSD drive and now the laptop is useable again. Installing a new CPU on a laptop can be a real job, so if you don't know something about computers or aren't really handy with tools make sure you can read up on doing this upgrade. Some laptops are easier than others. Installing this item IS NOT like installing new ram or a hard drive. Hope this is helpful. It's worth it for sure, will add a few more years to your machine.

    Packaging and installation

    The packing was adequate but all the material used should have been ESD approved. ESD means Electrostatic Discharge which exist in the packaging. It can decrease the life expectancy of the CPU because of its static discharge that read on my tester over 6000 volts. It was protected, but only at the CPU level, not the external envelope. Leakage on the sides of the envelope can occur during transportation. The installation was easy and the CPU is performing very well.

    Very good CPU for upgrade old laptop!

    I'd bought this CPU for upgrade my laptop Acer Aspire 4310, which had Intel Celeron M520 inside. It's most powerful core duo CPU, which supported by laptop's chipset Intel GML943i with 533MHz Bus Speed. Now estimation of the productivity of Windows Vista is equal 3.0 (before upgrade was 2.0) as weakest part of laptop is integrated graphics system from Intel. Laptop began to work quicker and I'm very satisfied by this purchasing.
