If you are trying to diagnose a magneto problem by attaching this unit and pulling the starter rope to see the bulb light--forget it. Never saw the bulb light until the engine actually started. Did try the unit on two other mowers that worked perfectly and received the same result--no bulb light on rope pull of engine.

Shipped, it looks like a literally just threw the thing everywhere they could throw it. They should not be paid for treatment stuff like that. As a result, they tore the box so bad. It's missing part of the hardware. Don't worry about it, I'll get it. Again again, fire the shipper.
