About this product

Product Information

Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run features 28 Major League Baseball teams and an adjustable season (choose from 26, 52 or 162 games) that can be saved to battery. Stadiums have been rendered in 3D and are modeled after each city's actual ballpark. Pitching and hitting mechanics involve steering the ball and timing the swing, respectively, and the three other game modes include: Exhibition, All-Star Game and World Series. Options include trades, adjustable innings, outfield shifts, lineup changes and bringing in pinch hitters or relievers. Player names are fictional due to the lack of an MLBPA license, but statistics reflect real-life players from the 1995 season.

Item arrived broken. Seller offered a refund if the item was returned. Decided to count my losses. Waste of time and money. Terrible packaging. Beware, you might receive your item broken due to the seller packing it carelessly while blaming the delivery service, and you may lose out on the same item for the same price from another seller while waiting for your package from this seller like I did. Buy from someone else.

    Did not work

Neither game worked despite the product description that they were in working order. Sure, they both turned on, but gameplay was dysfunctional. Seems the person selling didn’t actually play the games.

  • Hard Hittin' Action

Just plain great. There are three different season modes, allowing for you to choose how long you want to lead your team to greatness. There's a mode just for the World Series if you think the seasons are too long. There's even a Home Run Derby mode. Belive me, the season mode is so good, you won't even look at the other ones. I admit, this is one of the funnest games I have ever played. It has one of the most responsive control usage that I have ever seen. Swinging the bat is very easy; no annoying line-up-the-ball views. Yes, this game is very easy, which is why it is so fun. Who really wants to waste time and read the manual? With Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run, you don't need to. Just pick it up and play it. Playing this game with a friend is where it really ...

  • Baseball En Fuego

The two Griffey games on SNES were the two best baseball games on the system. Winning Run was the second of the two released during the 16-bit generation. It had upgraded graphics over it's predecessor It had great arcade-style baseball gameplay. Home runs were frequent and the player models were nice and exaggerated. It had good controls, and enough variety to make it fun for a long time. There weren't a lot of hit locations though, and you would often hit the exact same hit several times in one game. Regardless, it delivered a fast paced fun experience that any baseball fan can enjoy.

  • Is a really good game
