Kiichiro is a very friendly and trustworthy person. I'm very happy with the transaction that we did. The lens extender I ordered is truly mint as described. I will definitely buy from his store again.

Lightweight and good built quality but...

My previous experience with macro lenses is very limited (only used a Nikkon 40mm f2.8 before). What I found with this Tamron lens is that the effective aperture of the lens changes according to the focal length. You cannot use f 2.8 at macro distances (0.29 m for instance) due to "bellows effect". Apparently this happens to other lens too. But I was expecting to be able to use 2.8 to closer distances and it was a surprise this for me. Probably part of my lack of research plus the description of the product not mentioning the fact :( Overall I am not disappointed but I still have to learn to get advantage of this lens. As this does not have VC ( vibration compensation) system this lens is more suited for use with tripod but I expect that in days with good light I’ll be able to handle ...

    sharp but ...

its sharp but aperture gets smaller the closer you get to your subject. Normal focusing distance to infinity f2.8 is available but when you start to focus closer like at 5ft the widest is f3.2, at 2ft widest available is f3.5, at 1:3 magnification f stop changes to 4, at 1:2 f stop is 4.5 and by the time you get to life size widest available is f5.6.

  • The Seller (quickndone) and the Lens (Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Di SP MACRO 1:1 Lens) are BOTH RECOMMENDED!

This was being shipped out of Canada and actually arrive in Golden, Colorado in just under three days. Very fast shipping. The Lens description was brief and very accurate. The eBAY photographs were detailed and 1st rate. It's only been a couple of days but my Macro photographs are much better than I was expecting. I am using a Nikon D3400 and, on occasion, the Vello Extension tubes. The Lens weight is nice and feels light weight compared to others. The auto-focus and manual-focus are great and ez to engage. The 90 mm allows a good 18" (or more) from my subject, which allows me lots of room for lighting. I am happy with the Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Di SP MACRO 1:1 Lens.

  • Great Macro Lens

This lens is amazing. It is razor sharp, fairly light, and has a relatively large f2.8 max aperture. I can only recommend it!

  • Excellent Prime Optic Macro 1:1 F/2.8 90mm

This is a wonderful 1:1 macro lens for my Nikon DSLR APS-C. It is also the best value for the money. There is a newer version of this lens, for much more money, that has vibration dampening. That feature is desirable for hand held shots, but not important if using a tripod or ring flash. If you are in the market for a reasonably priced 1:1 macro lens, give this one every consideration.
