Its best to crimp and solder as the barrel is short and the barrel wall thickness is thin. Hence why there are cheap. The lugs are so thin if the cable is wriggled a lot the lug barrel can snap off from the ring. Ok for small projects where there is no stress, and terminating room is tight. Being undersized can be an advantage sometimes. They can handle full current load.
